Resolution for the Rules Committee at the State Convention

Censure for Empowering Democrats in Legislative Leadership (RULES)

Any Republican serving as Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the Texas House, State Senator, or State Representative who appoints, consents to, or permits any Democrat to serve as chair, vice-chair, or in any leadership role over a legislative committee or subcommittee, or who grants such Democrat special funding, budgets, staffing, powers, or assistance not equally available to every member of the Senate or House, shall be censured under Rule No. 44 of the Rules of the Republican Party of Texas for this single offense.
