Citizens Rights

Plank 11. The Rights of a Sovereign People:

We support the historic concept, established by our nation’s Founders, of limited civil government jurisdiction under the natural laws of God, and we oppose the concept that the state is sovereign over the affairs of men, the family, or the church. We believe that government properly exists by the consent of the governed and must be restrained from intruding into the freedoms of its citizens to include due process. The function of government is not to grant rights, but to protect the unalienable, God-given rights of life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness of all, including the unborn. Texas shall keep the Texas Citizens Participation Act (TCPA) intact and preserve its broad scope and essential protections for 1st Amendment Rights.

Amend add: (a)

(a) Disallow any requirement for Texans to obtain, carry, present, or use a Digital ID, digital wallet, biometric-linked credential, or any equivalent electronic identification system to exercise constitutional rights, conduct daily affairs, vote, or participate in commerce – whether federal, state, local or through private entities acting under government pressure

(b) Work to nullify federal mandates, opting Texans out of federal data demands as the standard, and promoting decentralized, privacy-focused alternatives at the state level

(c) Ban tech-exclusive systems and requirements for multiple verification methods to prevent exclusion from voting, commerce or public services.

(d) Protect Texans’ anonymity online by preventing the mandatory disclosure of personal identifiers used to access state and local services.
